"This was a pivotal painting for me. The first layer was a value layer painted in brown/red. When painting it I felt I wasn’t capturing the scene. But when I stepped back 10 feet, the whole scene came into focus, with depth and energy. First time my painting changed when I viewed it from a different perspective. Arklet Falls captured a moment of cool green shade in the midst of a 21 mile walk day on the West Highland Way, in Scotland, at the nearby Inversnaid Hotel. The Falls drop a total of 100 feet and this scene was captured on a walk bridge about 1/3 down from the Falls summit."
