Skye Seascape

Acrylic on birch Panel ( 24” x 48” x 1.5”)

 The misty seascape full of neutral hues looks silent, but on the Isle of Skye, wait 5 minutes and the wind howls, the seagulls caw and the waves crash across the rocks.  Dress for the water spray and the damp.  Had to paint Plein Air with pastels so grabbed the photo and enjoyed recreating the scene in my studio .
