Red Robin at Talisker Distillery, Isle Of Skye

"I guess one visits the Talisker Distillery in Carbost on the Isle of Skye not with the intention of painting a British Red Robin. But outside the distillery I was setting up my paints when this robin landed on the picnic table and wandered around within a foot of me for about 20 minutes, just curiously watching what I was doing. Never had that closeness to a wild bird before! This is an acrylic painting capturing the very real closeness of the encounter. "
